First-half goals from Tommy Smith and Ryan Stevenson and a penalty after the break from Jason Scotland saw the Blues to a 3-2 final day of the season win at Doncaster. Smith headed in the opener, then Stevenson hammered in a second, prior to Fabien Robert pulling one back for the home side. In an understated second period, Scotland netted from the spot, then in injury time Habib Beye completed the scoring. |

Town travelled to Doncaster this afternoon for their final game of the season without former skipper Grant Leadbitter, who has decided not to remain at Portman Road after his contract is up at the end of the season. The Blues were already short of midfielders for their lunchtime clash with relegated Rovers (KO 12.30pm) with Luke Hyam injured, Lee Bowyer released and Lee Martin and Ryan Stevenson both having missed training due to injuries this week. Youngsters Byron Lawrence and Joe Whight have both made the trip. |

Lee Martin is a doubt with his groin strain, but Ryan Stevenson is back in training after suffering an Achilles’ problem before being replaced at half-time against Millwall last week. |

Millwall midfielder Liam Trotter says it wasn’t a difficult decision to leave the Blues in the summer of 2010, despite having come through the ranks at his hometown club. The 23-year-old, who scored one and created one in the Lions’ 3-0 victory at Portman Road on Saturday, turned down a one-year deal at Town to sign a two-year contract at Millwall, where he had previously been on loan. |
